Jacques Pateau was invited to participate in a roundtable discussion entitled “French and German companies : from workers' perceptions to the reality of working together”. Miguel Sieler, Executive Officer of the Bayer SA Group management board, and Muriel Humbertjean, Deputy director of SOFRES, also participated.

The program “Le couple franco-allemand, l'enjeu d'une élection” (The Franco-German partnership, what's at stake in an election) was so well-appreciated by listeners on September 19, 1998 that France-Inter ran it again last Friday. Jacques Pateau gave an in-depth explanation of the origins of cultural misunderstandings between the two countries.

Pateau Consultants organized two conferences for the General Management of Chronopost focusing on three target countries : Germany, England and France and two key topics : intercultural communication and change.

Speaking to the R&D Managers of France Télécom and Deutsche Telekom, François Leraillez and Jacques Pateau explained the risks of failure when there is an inability to communicate openly about profound differences in a cooperation. Their presentation referred to the results of research conducted under the aegis of the Bosch Foundation.
